right...so let me see.. I updated prior to going away on vacation and was then limited to communicating with home due to :
Need to reboot a couple of times a day
Keyboard limited to typing 5 characters and could not text - finally froze
Google Books-GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! will NOT stop trying to download AND does not show up in Manage Apps so no way to stop it.
Customer service can't help and says that there will be a fix in mid November...really?
Has anyone ever heard of testing this crap on all devices prior to releasing into production. These testers should be fired!! Ridiculous....especially when my phone is only 6 months old....REALLY?
So totally frustrated --- will give if one week...if there is no acceptable fix, I am pushing Verizon for a credit towards an iPhone - those people aren't home blogging on a Sat morning because they don't have a "broken" operating system.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The thing is there are thousands upon thousands, a much larger percentage, who have zero issues. That is why I feel it is a corrupt app or apps that are conflicting.
Have you put the device in safe mode to see if the issues disappear??? If they do, it is an app. Safe mode instructions
If you have a task killer loaded, delete it.
If you have multiple messaging or email programs, delete the ones you do not use.
Try deleting apps, newest to oldest. Do one a day, see if after deleting one, the issues end.
Some apps have not been re-written for GB.
donnaleestj wroteGoogle Books-GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! will NOT stop trying to download... This is a bandaid fix and only works until a reboot... Open Market, menu, my apps. Select Google Books and unchecked allow automatic updating. Have to go back and unchecked after every reboot. For the other problems it might take a factory reset to clear up. Then S L O W L Y add back your apps one at a time, using & testing your setup noting any problems or anomolies.
