I am still operating on v 1.13.605.7. I am quite happy with what I have, what is the advantage of switching to GB? I am still using skype. Will I be able to continue using it? I'm old and not vain enough to be impressed by speed and looks of UI so that is not a real consideration for me either.
Thanks for the help and info.

no real game changers with GB. many people wanted it for skype with video, but if your leaked version works fine then that wouldn't apply to you. the VM issue is still there and has been since the leaks months ago. they still haven't figured it out. what happens is either you don't get a notification, so you have no idea that you have a voicemail.....or, IF you get the notification (sometimes i do, sometimes i don't), you can't clear it on the status bar, without rebooting you phone. just my opinion, but if you're happy with your tbolt as is, then i don't see a reason to install the update. IF you do, i suggest doing a factory reset first, as these updates will take to your tbolt much better if you wipe everything first. it's a small hassle but a much better chance at a nice, clean update.

Thanks AZSALUKI! Then I'm staying with what I have.

I started the GB update this morning about 6 am and found out after the update was finished (about 45 minutes later) that there was a small problem (no voicemail notification) with the update. That is okay for now, I just hope they are going to fix that. I did find out that they have got the "dock mode" on this update. It does work automatically if you have the HTC desktop dock, if you have another type of dock (like the Seido one) the dock mode does not automatically start. I found an app on the Droid Market that will allow you to create shortcuts to programs and then it places them on one of your home screens. The app is called "Desktop VisualizeR" and it is pretty simple to use. If you get this app you will have to look (the program does it for you) for a file called "Dock Mode". You get to choose what type of icon you want to use also.

If voice is acting up go to menu, settings, voice input & output, voice output test-to-speech settings and see if install voice data has been done, if grayed out fine, if not, install.

JimMLINY, your solution did not help the voicemail notification. The GB update turned off the notification when you recieve voicemail, you get no audio or no pop-up number on the voicemail icon. The only way you can find out if you have voicemail is to click on the icon (I only have the regular voicemail, do not have visual voicemail).
