Mine just finished installing. There are always going to be complainers because there is no such thing as the perfect phone. Some always want the next latest and greatest thinking it will be better, faster, or do more than the one they have. They will never be satisfied because they will never find the perfection they seek.
I guess I've been pretty lucky since I've downloaded the previous two OTA's with no major problems afterward. That may be because I seldom use all of the features this phone has, but it has always done what I need it to.
For some reason, either all of my music seems to have disappeared from my SD card, or the phone just isn't seeing it. I had it backed up, but I'll have to play with it later, I'm too tired right now.

After a couple of hours sleep for both me and the TBolt, my SD card has reappeared. Before it only showed Phone memory, but now is showing both Phone and the SD Card with my music . Everything does seem to be opening a little faster including the internet, but since it was fairly fast before, that could be my imagination. The main difference I've noticed is that I've always left both WiFi and 4G on and 4G use to over ride the WiFi, but now, my home WiFi is over riding the 4G. I also notice that when I open all of my apps, it now scrolls one page at a time instead of all of them flying by with one finger flick. So far, just minor changes, but I'll probably notice more as I have time to use the phone more. I work tonight, so I'll get a chance to see if the 4G connection is more reliable while I'm tethered to my laptop.

Can anyone help me? When I got up at 5:30am this morning, the update was available on my thunderbolt. I did not hit the accept, reject or defer button, I just let the OTA screen on and put the phone down. I do not get good cell phone coverage here. I put the phone down and was going to do the update in town. When I get to town, the phone says no update is available. I pull the battery out of the phone and restart it and still no update available. The phone still says its running 2.2.1. How do I get the update now?

I am still operating on v 1.13.605.7. I am quite happy with what I have, what is the advantage of switching to GB? I am still using skype. Will I be able to continue using it? I'm old and not vain enough to be impressed by speed and looks of UI so that is not a real consideration for me either.
Thanks for the help and info.

no real game changers with GB. many people wanted it for skype with video, but if your leaked version works fine then that wouldn't apply to you. the VM issue is still there and has been since the leaks months ago. they still haven't figured it out. what happens is either you don't get a notification, so you have no idea that you have a voicemail.....or, IF you get the notification (sometimes i do, sometimes i don't), you can't clear it on the status bar, without rebooting you phone. just my opinion, but if you're happy with your tbolt as is, then i don't see a reason to install the update. IF you do, i suggest doing a factory reset first, as these updates will take to your tbolt much better if you wipe everything first. it's a small hassle but a much better chance at a nice, clean update.

I started the GB update this morning about 6 am and found out after the update was finished (about 45 minutes later) that there was a small problem (no voicemail notification) with the update. That is okay for now, I just hope they are going to fix that. I did find out that they have got the "dock mode" on this update. It does work automatically if you have the HTC desktop dock, if you have another type of dock (like the Seido one) the dock mode does not automatically start. I found an app on the Droid Market that will allow you to create shortcuts to programs and then it places them on one of your home screens. The app is called "Desktop VisualizeR" and it is pretty simple to use. If you get this app you will have to look (the program does it for you) for a file called "Dock Mode". You get to choose what type of icon you want to use also.

If voice is acting up go to menu, settings, voice input & output, voice output test-to-speech settings and see if install voice data has been done, if grayed out fine, if not, install.

JimMLINY, your solution did not help the voicemail notification. The GB update turned off the notification when you recieve voicemail, you get no audio or no pop-up number on the voicemail icon. The only way you can find out if you have voicemail is to click on the icon (I only have the regular voicemail, do not have visual voicemail).
