I have had my Rezound since July 2012. It was a replacement, since the first one wouldn't work in Mobile hotspot connection. However, I have
had good service from this phone (with an extended life HCT battery). Now, for about 4 days, the buttons at the bottom of the phone - home, menu,back and search keys will not respond. I have to basically keep punching them to get the screen to change. Also it has been dropping calls and when making a phone call, the screen goes black. My phone has not been abused in any way, and I have Asurion coverage. I plan to take it in to the Verizon store as soon as my schedule allows. I love the mobile hotspot feature, photos are great, overall I have been pretty happy with my first smartphone. I need it to work properly though. Is it done for?

I want you to enjoy your phone again! Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to come up with a solution.
Have you recently installed any 3rd party applications, antivirus, data or battery saver applications? If so, let's uninstall http://vz.to/14jslog and retest. Otherwise, let's test the device while it's powered up in Safe Mode http://vz.to/1bTkdwm. This way we can see if the problem is application related. If the problems persist in safe mode, then let's try hard resetting the device http://vz.to/159RoKo and starting the device afresh. Please let me know how this works out for you. Thanks!
