New phone, HTC Rezound, can't get my location under the weather to show where I am. It continually says "current location." I have read several posts on similiar issues, done all that was recommended from syncing everything to checking GPS, which are all working perfectly. I down loaded Weather Bug and it picks up my correct location with no issue. Any suggestions on how to get my location to say where I am?

I suspect the location the info is being pulled from is not named. I see that occasionally while travelling

Crvt,
Thanks for the info! It sounds like you have done some fantastic troubleshooting so far, thanks for your time and patience. Its important to have a properly working phone, so lets get this resolved. Try resetting the application called "Weather". Go to settings>applications>manage applications>all>click on weather>clear cache & force close. Go back to the main screen, and see if the device can now determine where you are located. Keep me posted.
Thanks,

Press menu, then settings, then apps. Wait a bit for the screen to fill, then press "all" at the top. Scroll down to weather and touch.

Thanks Pamela, followed your instructions, nope didn't work. Any other advice? My phone knows where I am as it picks up the exact location continually at my weather bug app, but not the verizon app. I can also add weather locations to the Verizon app and get that info, just not my current location. Any more thoughts on the problem?

If the tower you are hitting has not been assigned a location name, you will see only current location.

budone, I don't think that is the issue as I've traveled 100's of miles and to different states and it never picks up the location. can't possibly be all those different towers. thanks for info though.

I'm having a similar problem.
Except that I've had this phone for over a year & it's worked flawlessly - until I traveled outside the country (It worked fine while outside the country, too!) & after returning, the HTC weather clock now says "Current Location", and is always incorrect.
I've tried clearing the data & cache for "HTC Location Service", "Weather", "Clock Widget", "HTC Sense", "HTC weather sync provider", "Network Location", "Weather", "Weather Provider", and "Weather Widget". I've rebooted the phone, removed the battery.
I have "Standalone GPS Services" and "Google Location Services", and I've tried enabling the "Verizon Location Services", which previously was always off.
None of this seems to have made any difference.
Am I missing something? I really don't want to have to factory-reset it....

BTW: the Google Maps app pinpoints my location within 30 seconds, and tracks my location correctly.

I fixed this on mine.. Finally!
- downloaded "GPS Status & Toolbox" from the google play store, went to tools --> "Manage A-GPS state", and hit "Reset".
- shut down the phone, removed the battery for 5 minutes and then restarted.
At this point the Weather app is behaving like it used to!
Hope this helps..

I got the same problem + time also
Try to clear data on app that related to location, turn it off, remove battery, and put the battery back on.
Turn it on, work fine for me
(I missed one flight since I forgot to check the time at the airport and used my cellphone as my watch )
TJMOOCH solution is the good one also, since you don't have to look all apps like I did.
