His phone no longer rings it vibrates. I have checked all the settings for volume and everything is the way it should be? He has no sound when trying to watch anything either! Please help!!!

check under menu,sounds and see if there is a silent mode

I think the first problem is your husband bought a HTC Rhyme considering the Rhyme is a phone designed for females. Did he get the matching tote bag and shoes?

Also please check to see if hubby owns any Cher or Celine Dion CD's, if so then the phone is the least of your worries.
