So I got my phone Thursday and less than a week later I've used about 29 gigs of data..
I noticed all day I had a 3g signal (I'm in Houston) and all my buddies had 4g solid, same as I had previously..
So I called and get a tech who pretty much says there is nothing I can do at this time
He didn't go as far as to say I was throttled, but there can't be anything else.. kinda sucks right now
Anyone else used a high percentage of data in a short period of time and notice anything like this?

Yah..the tech was very cryptic in the conversation..
what i ended up doing was blocking the mobile hot spot and turning lte back on my phone
which is fine, i already have internet at home i was just messing with it to see what it was about

Throttling is referring to VZW slowing down a user's data speeds on his/her device when a certain amount of data has been used. This is normally done for those who use high amounts of data, in an effort to maintain high network speeds for all users.
