How do I disable basic voice mail completely? Verizon saw fit to remove my Visual Voice Mail, and I am not going to call in and spend the time to check every message from I-don't-know-who. It will be kinder to legitimate callers to completely disable VM than to let it fill up and have them wonder why I haven't called back.

You have to call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or *611 from another Verizon phone and request the voicemail feature be removed from your line.

FYI a search of the community should have yielded a recent discussion where someone asked a similar question and I responded with the same answer.

Dear Verizon, please make it easier to do this. Like I want to spend time talking to customer service just to disable a feature. Geez.
