I should have played with the phone more in the store. Got it for my daughter and the interface is so unintuitive "even to her" I would like to know how to remove it, disable it and go to a stock Android interface. The home page is one big icon/widget that seems nearly impossible to customize. The dock bar at the bottom on our droid 3 and bionic you can put whatever apps you want on it so they are there persitent from screen to screen, how to do this on the Rhyme is beyond me. AND switching the apps button on the bottom dock to the left side??? really it is on the right on every other Android we own or have ever seen. There is a reason people get really good at playing musical instruments, it is because people don't move the strings, notes, buttons, keys around.
I hope there is a solution, so far all I have found works on older HTC sense phones and not new ones. I hope someone can help or this goes back for an Incredible 2, oh wait that is HTC as well hope it still runs a stock Android interface.
Hopefully I can help a bit here. On the main home screen that is just a widget called quick launch. (or something to that effect) It is designed to have less clutter on the home screen at the cost of custimization. This can be removed the same as any other widget on an android device, touch and hold and drag to the trash can. After that you can customize that screen to you hearts content. The Rhyme does not use the dock bar at the bottom for apps, but you can add apps to be opened directly from the lock screen for faster acess to frequently used apps. As far as the app drawer is concerned different phones have them in differently places, the newer HTC phones (Rhyme, Rezound) have them on the left, some phones have them in the middle, (Commando, Galaxy Nexus which is stock android) and other phones (I'll admit, the majority) have them on the right. And lastly, no phone runs stock android except for the Nexus line of phones, the older one was actually made by HTC, and the newer one is Samsung and is running Android 4.0, or Ice Cream Sandwich.
I'm sorry you don't enjoy the Sense UI, I personally love it and would have a hard time going back to a non-HTC phone at this point. Hope everything works out for you!
