Ice cream sandwich update?

Alright verizon this is getting to be ridiculous, ice cream sandwich (android 4.0) has been out for months now, not weeks, months. The thunderbolt was your first 4G flagship phone, and you haven't given it ice cream sandwich yet? And please do not say its htc's fault, because its your fault. The rezound has been getting it, other phones have been getting it, yet a phone that was your flagship phone can't even get an ETA? HTC said it would be july-august, well were halfway into july and you haven't said anything about it.

This happens all the time, you forget about the people who purchased your previous phones and don't push manufacturers to update those and its simply not fair. Start pushing for those updates so that those same people don't feel forgotten about. You messed real bad with thunderbolt at launch and toke forever to fix the launch issues, and now you don't even care to give us a better user experience on the phone that YOU sold to us? Its unfair, and uncalled for. So please fix this issue.

Also, i'd love for a mod to comment on this and give a real statement, not some generic "its coming" statement. Please and thank you.

The Rezound hasn't gotten ICS yet. It has only filtering out to the DROID Razr section in the last few weeks.

This is a peer to peer forum where customers assist other customers.

Seriously, if you're under 30 I'm almost sure you'll see ICS on the T'bolt in your life time......

My wife's HTC Rhyme is scheduled for a June/July update for ICS. Posting this on July 23rd, and still no update. My point is, look for the update for the Thunderbolt (which I have) near the end of August.

I sent an email to HTC and asked if the ThunderBolt was going to get ICS and this is the reply that I got on July 30th (see attachment).

Why a "glorified paper weight"? My Thunderbolt works to perfection, I couldn't ask for a better phone.

I really don't care a whole lot about ICS because it's already been stated that the T'Bolt wil NOT get Sense 4.x, it'll have a Sense 3.? version so you won't really see much difference after the upgrade.

That's a standard reply, but nice to see, none the less.

The TB is still on the list for ICS, while the Desire HD is no where to be found. There's still hope.

I believe ICS will have Sense 3.6. My wife's Rhyme has 3.5, I believe. They're quite different, IMO.

The whole article is heresay. Just a crap blog trying to stir something up as there's no reason to believe that the Desire HD's fate will translate to the Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt also has more internal storage so it's like comparing apples to oranges.
