Have you turned off the mobile network? Settings > wireless & networks > mobile network

That's no fun MsJoJo-36! Let's get that internet working! Is your device in airplane mode? Go to Menu > Settings > Wireless Networks > Ensure Airplane mode is off. Turn off WiFi as well. The 3G indicator should appear. You may need to soft reset device, simply remove the battery and place back in. If the issue persists, reply back and we can troubleshoot further.
