Lost music album covers and art with HTC ThunderBolt Update

I have the HTC ThunderBolt which has been recently updated. I have stored a great number of songs on the device which I downloaded from Windows Media Player. Before the upgrade, under the Music app, the albums and art work were displayed. This is nolonger displayed because of the update. Is there a way to have this data restored? Also, has the update replaced the Quickoffice with Polaris Office?

I just checked the music I had stored on my Tbolt. For the ones that did have the album art, they are displayed.

You might be right on the documents app. I purchased another one that I intend to use for opening Word and Excel documents.

My Tbolt was automatically updated this weekend which changed some functions and views of default apps. Was yours updated?

Yes, I pulled down the update manually late on 2/5/2013 and have been using the ICS version for a week now.

Well, I've gone through and checked for the album art and all are missing that were there before (just the green music note is there). I also download a couple of new songs from window media: but no luck. Thanks for you help.:smileyhappy:

it might take a few days but they will be back. After my phone updated all my pictures and my music were gone but they are back now. Have any of you had problems updating your status on Facebook or uploading pictures on there? I can't do either nor can I send pictures thru text messaging.

Good afternoon joep6428. It sounds like you updated your Thunderbolt to run on the Ice Cream Sandwich software and I hope you are enjoying it so far. Software updates keep our devices up to date and running smoothly.

I am sorry to hear about your album covers dissapearing. While I like listening to the music the most, I always enjoy glancing at the album cover because a lot of the times it is some really cool work. Are you still missing some album art work? If so could you try resyncing the phone with Windows Media Player to see if the album art work reappears? Let me know what happens.

I resync the phone with Windows Media Player and only one album artwork of 639 music file appeared. Add two more music files, but no artwork transferred. Check music list in Windows Media to make sure artwork was there. Also, check on another MP3 player to see if new music artwork appeared. All appeared.
