Mexico with Thunderbolt

Will the Thuner Bolt work in Mexico? I'm leaving for Mexico next week and will be putting the 1400 minute Mexico plan on my phone. A customer service rep yesterday said that the TB would not work in Mexico or Canada yet. I need to know if I should reactivate my Incredible for my trip.

4g phones should work on the 3g network...but being this is all new i think it would be less impacting if you activated your old phone just for the trip

The phone will work there, same as any other VzW phone.

What doesn't work right now is the +Mexico (or, for that matter, +Canada) plans, for some reason, on the Thunderbolt right now.
