Mobile data exceeds limit on HTC one

Just started having this issue today with my VZW HTC One M8 running Android 5.0.1.


  • I'm well within my data plan limits.
  • I've messed with every possible setting in the "Data Usage" menu.
    • Checked/unchecked all options, adjusted the graph limits, etc.
  • I've forced stopped the "Android System" process many times over.
    • This gets rid of the notification, but only temporarily. It's always back within a minute or two.

Has anyone figured out or found a solution to this incredibly frustrating problem?!

Procci18, that is very strange that you get this notification when your alerts are not turned on. You have done a lot on your own and your device is on the most current available software. Have you tried completing a factory reset? http://vz.to/1WkS5Nn
