Follow intructions carefully. I disclaim all liability for any harm that may befall your device. I'm simply posting a link to the information.
It also says that the OTA for this update should be available June 15th ! Personally I'm going to wait for the OTA so I don't have to wipe my device !
THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DATA!

Good Morning, Tboltaz!
I, too, am looking forward to the update; however any outside website with an MR release is speculation and should be treated as such. I have not seen any update about a specific date or delay for the OTA update beyond what we have already communicated. If you are on twitter our @verizonwireless typically will release information about any OTA update. We will do our best to get that information posted here too, as soon as we have it.

Also this is available for rooted and unrooted users !
The major improvements brought about by MR2:
- Fixes random reboots
- Improves GPS locking
- Improves signal strength
- Add 3G/LTE toggle in settings
- And more…

ha probably a wise idea. One of the developers ended up with a brick while running it. Verizon definitely won't live it down if they push an OTA that bricks phones. Seems to be very isolated at the moment like those who were running the alpha GB radio so we'll see.

Be careful what you post about the update unless you plan to qualify the statrement with details. The dev who bricked roots and roms his phone 50-100 times more than any of us ever will.
I have seen the non-rooted update in action.
-GPS lock is crazy fast
-3g/4g toggle in settings wirks perfectly
-Video sound has no issues
-Verizon bloatware....YEP.
This update will be awesome for most people. If you like to root and rom your phones it will make no difference to you.

True. I'm running his Gingerbread rom so I'm well aware of who he is but was just putting it out there. Point is that no one really knows what is causing it. My guess is still that HTC shipped faulty hardware and the majority of this forum would probably be wise to at least wait until verizon starts pushing it before manually flashing it since most people here aren't going to have any clue how to get back if it doesn't end up official.

i hope it's good and comes on wednesday. those are my only 2 gripes.....gps lock and the sound (or lack of) when i record. i just know that when the first update was pushed, i asked a handful of users about it and they said to go ahead and download it...it was fine. i ALMOST did just that. however, my phone showed no available update so i figured it hadn't been pushed to me yet. that's when i saw the threads that instructed you to set it to 1X and you could access it. that seemed odd (and still does) to me so i didn't mess with it. within days i start seeing the random reboot threads. i still don't understand why the update wouldn't show up unless you froced the phone to 1X???? i don't know much about all of this stuff, but is there a logical explanation as to why, if i had wanted to install that update, i would've had to get it through 1X???? i've had NO reboot since i bought this thing and am now extremely hesitant to install ANY update....lol.

The bricking that your talking about had to do with running the GB leak, doesnt have anything to do with the MR2 update i brought up with this thread. This OTA update is not going to brick your phone, i have heard alot of great things from users who already have it. Although there are always rumors of timeframes for the updates, phones, etc. I do believe this one will be available on the 15th, since this is the day the free hotspot is supposedly ending. I believe it takes an upate to make the hotspot no longer free, although i could be wrong.

That's still undertermined and about as much speculation as saying MR2 would brick. Simple fact is people bricked while running the GB leak (likely due to the shear number of people running it) and Adrynalyne's brick came from running the actual MR2 update you have posted. Does that mean all GB or MR2 roms will brick? No. Probably nothing to worry about but there is always a risk with manual flashing and I'd hazard to guess that most people reading this have no clue what a md5 is or what it means and could end up absolutely clueless when they flash a corrupt download.

I was responding to what you said : "Verizon definitely won't live it down if they push an OTA that bricks phones."
I wasn't talking about manually flashing it, I was talking about the OTA update, if your manually flashing it your not getting it OTA lol I thought we were on the same page but I guess not not haha Hopefully this clarifies where I was coming from.

So I just read on XDA that the "friendly users" testing phase, which is the last phase before the OTA goes live, is having a big problem. The problem is that none of the testers are able to install the OTA, results of the test are due back this week. Fact is there are no results since noone can even get it to install jcase said the 15th was the day but now it's not looking like it if this is true. Who knows but I hope what i read was wrong.
P.s. i also read that the update doesn't have anything to do with the hotspot ending, just a clarification.

Sooo, just heard from jcase (same one who said MR2 was coming OTA on June 15th) Who said,
"Looks like MR2 delayed, possibly canceled for yet another new build"
Also this from jcase,
"MR2 for Thudnerbolt DOES NOT fix the reboot issue, but it is much better"
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

And that would be exactly what I was warning against. There's always a chance that a supposed upcoming "official" release might get canned leaving you up the creek unless you plan on deviating from stock or know how to get back.

Well, I'm not surprised, and even called it in my "I hate this Thunderbolt" post. I know the unofficial leaked version that came out had issues, but was 98% good, and did not fix the rebooting.
It's not gonna happen people. Not any time soon.
I hate this phone so badly that I'm half tempted to sue.
