No audio on video's

Anyone else notice when you record a video on the Thunderbolt you have next to no audio from anything that's more than a foot away?  I've called in and stopped at a Verizon store and the only thing they could come up with was "it's a software issue and there should be an update coming out sometime in the future so hopefully it will fix that"  Sometime in the future like what? A week..A month...6 months..I have a 16 month old child so I take a lot of videos and would like to be able to hear her in them like I could when I had my Incredible.

It is a known issue, and I believe that it has been discussed earlier in the VZW forum.

It also has been noted at these websites.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

i believe it has to do with the noise cancellation feature that the software has for when you are making calls. i think it enables that feature when you shoot video so it drowns out "background noise" (which is what we actually want on our videos!!!). they will likely fix it, but who knows when?

sure isn't what anyone with small children wants because then you can't hear anything they are trying to say at all only what the person holding the phone is saying.  Thank you for the responce though.
