Now it's $99 !?!

Well dangit, I bought the Rezound just after Thanksgiving and at the beginning of Jan (I think) it went down to $199, now it's $99 (online price w/new 2year contract). Good for those just now looking to upgrade, garbage for me. I just wish Verizon had a better price matching policy if they are gonna drop the price this fast.

Yeah, it happens. I tried to get an account credit the first time it dropped because I was still within the extended holiday return window (I had heard of others being successful with it) but no love.

And I paid over $300 for my Tbolt a year old for the choice of a one year contract. If it is free now, sounds like EOL to me. Explains the cheap cases and car dock I saw in the store last week.

Yeah, probably making room for the new (possibly quad-core) phones that will be coming up soon.

It sucks but smartphones are outdated by another with better specs about 2 months (or less) after hitting the market!

I'm just surprised because, as of yet, the Rezound IMHO is still the best phone on Verizon spec-wise.

Of course, but i was able to survive for 2 years with my Eris and hopefully will be able to do the same with my Rezound.

Clearly you have never watched phones before.

They always come out expensive... $299, $399 etc.... After a month or so, they drop $100, after another month or so they drop to $99. Anytime there is a major holiday coming up after that, they drop to $free or near there.

I you want the hot new device, you pay for it, and they know that.

I wanted the phone, had an upgrade since Dec 28th, but I waited until it dropped to $99... so I didn't pay the extra $200

I also made sure that root was available and in this case an unlocakable bootloader. there are also a bunch of roms available now though I plan on staying near stock until ICS is released.

Now you know.. next time you can decide what level of payment you want to do.

I know that link is kind of old, but they usually stay there. Regardless, this was meant more as an informative post than a complaint post. When the price first dropped, I did try to get a credit like some had seeing as how I was still within the extended holiday return period, but whatever. I have no regrets about paying the full $299, just couldn't believe the bottom dropped out so quickly. I'm starting to think now that Verizon is just trying to get people into a contract before the One X hits AT&T.

I feel you, I bought the TB for 250.00 and a month later it dropped to 150.00... That's how technology sales works, prices drops fast... Just like stocks you simply take the chance when you buy them and have the value drop quickly.

Blame Dr Dre and those beats headphones which from what I've read, are not that great. Thats probably the reason the price stayed so high.

Beats is a scam, that isn't nothing but a integrated equalizer, I use equalizer from market and the TB sounds just as good with it...

By the way I dont blame anyone because of my decisions...

+1, but I do like not having to mess with the sound (Beats is good enough for me) and the headphones sound better than the $15-$20 pairs I usually buy.

However, we do offer we do offer a "Price Protection Guarantee." If the cost of the device you just upgraded to goes down while you are within your 14-day equipment satisfaction guarantee, you can be refunded the difference in cost. Just let us know and we are happy to take care of it for you.

When upgrading to a new device, I suggest to make it a habit to check the pricing of the device in the 14-day window after you upgrade. For example, if you ordered the device online, and then a week later the cost goes down when you check our website, you can contact us and we will issue the difference in credit. Or, if you purchased the phone at a store location and then it goes down in less than 14 days, give us a call.

**Note**It does have to be a like-for-like purchase type in this scenario, i.e., online purchase, store purchase, or a purchase from Customer Service.
