Phone tried to update today and crashed. Tried everything.. battery pull, recovery screen, factory reset... Phone will start to boot.. white HTC screen followed by "Thunderbolt noise", but the screen stays black. I can hear notifications coming through, but nothing will I have tried will make the screen come back... I know it works, the white HTC screen looks fine.. and I can boot to the recovery screen fine. Any suggestions?

Bstar69, I'm sorry to hear this happened after a software update. It sounds like you have tried quite a few things already to get this working. If you are still having problems with the screen, try booting into safe mode http://bit.ly/qT7Rt5. If the phone shows any icons while booting up, but then go away once it is to the main screen, then a factory reset may be needed. You will need to choose the alternate version here: http://bit.ly/rlYXKN. If nothing on screen the entire time, phone may need to be replaced.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Wipe cache from recovery in bootloader menu.
