Hey, come on! The empty post contains exactly the same amount of useful, accurate information on the Thunderbolt release as any other post on this topic on the internet! (And is much quicker to read and digest). Now, why it belongs in the iPhone forum is another question, but be appreciative.
BTW: for those lucky enough NOT to be following this discussion! On just one site (droidforums.net) you can find
" When Will the ThunderBolt Be Available for Purchase" with 1,478 posts, HTC Thunderbolt Release Date, with 4,609 posts and NEW: When Will the ThunderBolt be Available for Purchase? with 1,602 posts.
All of them give dates that the poster was told be a reliable source (someone in a Verizon store, a pal at HTC, that guy at Best Buy, something they saw on a forum that they cannot remember etc), followed by others giving different dates. And those are just the major threads on this topic on one forum.....It was certainly going to come out Jan 31, Feb 4, Feb 10, Feb 24, Feb 28, Mar 4, Mar 10 and now Mar 17.
it's right on time. feb 29 was SET IN STONE. this is from VERY reliable resources.

OK, horrible stuff. I printed out Azsaluki's post, and went to my local Verizon Wireless store. I said, very politely, that I wanted to purchase the HTC Thunderbolt. The rep looked a little surprised, and said "I'm sorry sir, it isn't available yet, and we don't know exactly when we will get it." I smiled, OK, leered, pulled out the the print-out and said "Aha, what about this then? Give me my Thunderbolt!!!!"
After a minute or so, the rep said: "Sir, there is no Feb 29th this year."
So, not content with mandatory data plans, undeletable bloatware on phones, not giving iPhone discounts to people one month into another contract, Verizon has STOLEN a whole day this year to have an excuse for a delayed launch of the Thunderbolt! I'm going to AT&T as they have a Feb 29th every year, and that's Customer Service!
while i do agree with what you are saying....don't you think that by running a vzn commercial and an htc commercial for it on tv every night, along with nearly full page ads in the sunday best buy ad, they are at the very least, contributing to the rumors? i know they've never made an announcement and that at the CES they actually said this summer....but why all the marketing now? heck, best buy will even take your money as a deposit.....for a phone coming out in 4 months? seems absurd.
and why haven't the mods moved this thread yet? lol
