Ringtones

I purchased a ringtone from the Verizon store, and I recieved it as a text message. How do you install it in the list of ringtones?

you wont be able to save the audio from the msg youll need to downlod a third party msg app like handset to be able save the audio in the sd card after you need to create a folder in the root of your sd card called media inside that folder create another one called audio and inside that folder create another one called ringtones then u can save the audio to that folder and the ringtone that you purchased is going to be available in your ringtone selection.

there's GOT to be an easer way than that???? i don't think the average user would even know how to do what you suggest.

As long as you have purchased your ringtones from Verizon Store you will not need a third party app to install.

Once you have gotten confirmation message of purchase, tap and hold on message

tap Save Audio then go to Settings>Sound>Phone Ringtone you should see the ringtone you purchased.

Now to find out how to install my Ring Back Tones LOL!!

i think you have to pay $2/mo to use ringbacks don't you???? you have to add that feature to your plan i believe??

I just bought a ring tone off the website. I got the text and I downloaded it and saved audio and now I can't find it. Where can it be?

Probably the download folder on the sd card. You might need to download a file explorer application. Astro or Estrongs file explorer work well. You can also connect the phone to a computer and locate that way.

Personally I would then move the file to the following folder on the sd card. You might have to create the folder.

Root of the sd card / media / audio / ringtones

Additional folders to make if you want.
/ media / audio / notifications
/ media / audio / alarms
