SD card is missing?
krmf0522

I have not had any issues with my phone's SD card until today.  I went to take a picture and my phone is telling me to insert my SD card but it was in my phone already.  I proceeded to reset my phone thinking that may help but it did not.  I then took the SD card out and replaced it.  My phone is still showing the message that I need to insert my SD card.  I even tried a totally different SD card thinking that may be the issue but I get the same message.  I have searched for answers online to help my problem with no success.  What is wrong with my phone/SD card and can I fix it??  Please help!!

Hello krmf0522!

What a bizarre situation. But you need not fret because this VZW sleuth is ready to crack the case of the missing SD card. So, let's work on this together.

Of course, thanks so much for doing what you've done thus far between a reset, removing/reinserting your SD card, and trying a completely different SD card altogether. Ultimately, those are three of the most important steps to troubleshooting an issue like this. So, at this point, may I ask if you are currently under warranty with your phone or have insurance on it? Is there any physical or liquid damage done to the device? I've started following you, so please give me a follow and direct message your mobile number so we can look into more options to fix matters. I look forward to it!

Try this: Put the SD card in your computer and save all your files there. Then put it back in your phone, go to phone settings and format the card. Formatting will erase everything on the card, so you'll have to move your stuff back onto it from your computer.
