Check with HTC. The manufacturer of the device is the announcing when the system update are ready.

Agreed. When are we getting it? The Sprint version of the device already has received the update. Also, the M7 HTC One has received this update. Why not the One Max?

Certification = Verizon is dragging their feet and loading their bloatware onto the device so I can disable all of it. It is all a ploy so you will buy a new phone

No. It just means HTC sent it to Verizon later then the HTC One (M7) version. Verizon doesn't add any bloatware to the OS after HTC is finished with it. Whatever bloatware is there was already coded in by HTC. Have you not seen the info-graphic released by HTC a few months ago? It explains it quite clearly.

OK, so misnomer on when the garbage Verizon apps are coded in, but certification still shouldn't take long at all. Verizon purposely drags their feet, but still let's apple get their code in last minute with next to no certification before updates roll out.

You obviously don't understand how Apple manages their OS updates. They get the certification from ALL the carriers before the update is released systemwide.
HTC and the other Android phone manufacturers have a different process for the Android devices.

I'd also like to know when the update is supposed to arrive. I got rid of my Note 3 because Verizon wouldn't tell anyone when Kit Kat would arrive and now that I switched to the One Max, I'm last to get the newest software again. No one ever has any information, I check the software update everyday and the HTC site but nothing. Its hard being a tech geek with Verizon. 😞 very disappointed.

Sadly... Verizon has NOTHING to do with the delay... HTC even says so on their website.
http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/
It's in the certification phase. This means... FCC, Bluetooth, WiFi, and such certifications. It hasn't even been submitted to Verizon yet. If Verizon finally accepts it, and then it still has to go through Google for acceptance before it can be pushed OTA.
Verizon doesn't touch any code at all, and HTC expressed this in their timeline. Carriers can request something and HTC is the one that does all the work.

Verizon has nothing to do with the certification process other than giving the final Technical Approval. If there were other regulatory issues they would have been an issue for other updates. This is really only a miinor facelift and doesn't effect too much on the back end.
Sprint pushed this through fast, and Verizon should have followed their lead.

I've tried asking same question via Twitter and you are correct, they answer everyone else's questions except for this one.... When will htc one max receive the sense 6 update..... They blatantly ignore this one!! It's so sad!! Finally called customer care and at least I got a answer, not the one I was hoping, but a answer none the less. Who knows when we will receive it. My wife has the HTC One and has already had sense 6 update, it's a nice, really nice UI overhaul. So for now who knows, Verizon reps need to be retrained in customer relations....
