Rumor is the RUU is causing random, numerous reboots...
Once it's fixed it should be "Coming Soon"

VZW Support is still tweeing otherwise. As recently as 6 hours ago, "You should receive the update soon".

This update had been put on indefinite hold.
I hope you saw this from a couple of posts up the "Mobile Network Failed" thread you posted to

I can't really give you a timeframe ( I wish I could) for the update. When I say that this is a top priority for Verizon to get this phone to quit dropping its data connections, I truly mean it. It doesn't happen with all the phones, but enough to make it a top priority. This has escalated as high as an issue can go, we are just waiting for that software to be pushed out. We report these types of issues to HTC, and they collect any issues with the phone, develop patches with these issues addressed, and push 1 big update over the air. Right now we are just waiting for that software update to get pushed out. We know about the software being pushed out right before it actually gets sent but not any sooner.
Thanks for your patience again.

Hello fellow community members...
The thunderbolt software is now available, effective today. If you haven't received it, it's because it's being pushed in stages. You can manually check on your device by going to Settings > software update.
Thanks...

Gina7289, you keep saying that in mulitple topics on these forums, but information from everybody else (including VZW) contradicts you. Where are you getting your information?

I agree with you vx1 gina 7289 seem to be reading very very old posts somewhere. I talked to technical service reps in Houston and somewhere in Tennessee yesterday (on my multiple text issue) and when I asked for an ETA on the update being rolled out both VERIZON ( gina please note that these are technicians at least 2nd level in Verizon technical service centers) reps said they have no date when this will commence.
Being in a level 3 technical service center for a fortune 500 company for the last 8 years of my career, I know that service tech centers are always first to know when a new software / firmware release is pushed because they field the first ramifications of any issues.
Please refrain from posting unverifiable rumors or old speculations as it only confuses new members and fuels the why didn't I get my update yet complaints

I fear Verizon's definition of "soon" may cross into the realm of referring to a geologic scale rather than that used by reasonable people.
Verizon has some liability in two major areas. First, if their resolution is to pop off the battery cover to reseat the SIM card multiple times, this may cause unusual wear and tear on the device normally. However, if this is done so at their direction then they may share some of the blame.
More importantly, I believe we are required to pay $30 a month for the unlimited data service. I think we (even Verizon) can agree that this service is not working as intended. Therefore, are we getting what we paid for? I don't think so. Shouldn't we receive at least a partial credit? E.g. $1 per day the network has been having these issues.
