Just FYI... Happy Updating.

Posted this in a different thread:
Went to "Menu, Settings, Software Update, Check New" (If errors out, try again). Indicated update "Mecha_Verizon_WWE_1.13.605.7-1.12.605.6 is available. Hit "Ok" to download which took about 5 minutes (on 3G, no 4G LTE yet in my area). Download size was approx. 35MB. Once the download completed, it prompts you to click "Ok" to proceed. During this time you won't be able to use the phone. The system rebooted and went to an update screen for about 5 minutes, then rebooted again. All appears to be working normally as it did before the update. Note: I'm not rooted, just stock apps (a few updated, such as Flash, Adobe Reader, Google Maps, Gmail). One change I did notice right away is that my 3G connection is now back on CDMA -eHRPD, whereas before (since the nationwide 4G LTE outage issue back at the end of April), it was always on CDMA EVDO Rev A. I didn't do anything to set it that way or try to force it back to -eHRPD. I figured it was changed by Verizon for a reason and expected it would change back when ready.
So far, a cursory check of the phone, all is working normally. Will post back IF I see any problems.
After the update today my phone has rebooted by itself twice just out of nowhere. I can leave the email app, set the phone down, and I notice the thunderstorm sound and it is rebooting itself. Also, in the barcode scanner app crashed once. Haven't noticed these problems prior to the update.... Anyone else?

Are you in a poor signal area? That's a known issue of the same version that was leaked weeks ago.
I have 2 out of 4 bars...

The only noticeable thing it's going to fix is the lack of volume when recording a video.
Does this update make MYVerizon Mobile compatable with "Stock" thunderbolts?
Where is the list of changes?
My update went flawlessly.
Lets say you are over seas with this phone using it only on WIFI.. How would one get this update?
All I get is network is not available...Can I download this someplace? and if so how do I install it?
I have been having the same problem with my phone rebooting. Before the update my phone was running fine with no random reboots at all. Now after the update my phone has rebooted five times.
I thought, according to the update pdf, that my verizon fixes were included in the update. I'd like to be able to check status of my account without having to go through a browser.

"Leaked"?
I had no update available up until yesterday afternoon when I checked after hearing that it was available... now that it is installed my phone is rebooting on its own.. and yes I am sometimes in a poor signal area. But I would think that if there was nothing available until yesterday that I would be getting the official "unleaked" version of the update?
And as I clicked the submit button on that post I caught the HTC logo on the phone out of the corner of my eye... was fluctuating between 2 and 3 bars and it rebooted.
My TB has been rebooting ever since the update as well. No appararent explanation, a medium and full battery life, when on the phone and when idle. So far no explanation on these forums or the droid forums. I love the Thunderbolt, hope I can get this fixed.
Got my phone on 5/12 and it updated. Having issues with rebooting, I set the notification sounds for email and they still use the default sound, and the backup assistant says my mobile number has changed (which it didnt) and wont sync At this point should I DOA it?
I've had my T-Bolt since mid-March. At first, I had problems connecting with the 3G network. (Here in Cody, WY, we are 500-miles from the nearest 4G city, Denver.) I was still getting pretty good download speeds even with just the 1X service. After the 4G/3G tower updates late last month, my 3G service started working just fine. However, to conserve extra battery power, I keep the mobile network connection turned off, unless I'm out of range of Wi-Fi hotspots.
I had to play around with the LTE On/Off app and find the modem setting that finally let me access the software update notice. After making sure my personal info was all backed up, I downloaded and installed the update without trouble on 5/14/11. I had to reboot the phone twice to get all the update to apparently register, but it's running smoothly. I have had one unexpected reboot of the device on 5/15/11 as I was reading an e-book, but that occured about 30-seconds after I plugged in the charger, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Since then, no problems whatever.
I'm still fairly conservative about my mobile connection and Wi-Fi usage, but I have noticed that my battery life does indeed seem to be improved. As of this writing, I've been unplugged from the charger for nine hours and batter power is at 86%, when before the update it would have been at between 50% and 60%.
All in all, I'm really jazzed with the Thunderbolt. I've been using HTC smartphones for almost eight years now and have never had the problems many others are reporting. Maybe I'm just lucky, or maybe I just know how to set the phone correctly. Now, if we can just get HTC to push Gingerbread to us soon . . .
Got the "like new" phone the other day in the mail and waited until last night to finally open it hoping for another update from Verizon to fix the reboot issue on the one I currently had. Knew that I was running out of time so I popped open the box last night and went over the replacement with a fine toothed comb. No scratches, no dings, nothing... looked pristine so I transferred everything over to it and fired it up.
A couple minutes after booting up the window pops to the affect of "update available... going to download it on...xx seconds" with just an OK button so there is no way to cancel it. I let it download and when it went to install it gave me the option to defer and I was hoping to defer whether or not to do it at all... but nope... you are just delaying the inevitable since it wanted a time to install and not an amount of time to wait.
Marvellous... so now what am I going to do? If I let it install it then this one may start rebooting as well.
So I let it install.... now what is weird is that after it got done updating it downloaded and installed yet another update which did not happen on my old phone.
That was last night at about 10:30pm and it has not rebooted at all...
