I've installed the latest update 2.11.605.5 this week and it has caused the phone to stop working with the 3.5mm headset that was working prior to the update.
All other capability works (voice recorder picks up the mic and I can hear playback), music works too, the only thing that does not work is the phone calls. I am certain it is software update and not the headset the headset was working prior to the update.
I also tried jiggering the jack and if I pull it out a bit to connect the bottom 2 bands it does playback accurately but does not pick up the Mimic in the headset.
The headset is a generic GE monaural headset. I would rather rollback the update for now than give up this capability - unless the update includes improved battery performance which after running it for 2-3 days does not.
Any help would be appreciated
There is no way to restore to the previous build, the only solution is to backup and hard reset and see if the issue will be resolved because as usual thing like this can happen with doing a update because a app sometimes limits the write command required to update some areas of the software...
