The black HTC ONE has never been confirmed as coming to Verizon.

So you think it will never come to verizon???

Don't these ****** at verizon want to make more money be releasing this phone in BLACK.

Pretty sure Verizon makes a ton of money, and there are plenty of people who like the silver version.

Well I'm pretty sure they're gonna release the black one but its just a matter of when. It would have been interesting to see which one people bought more the black or the silver one but when they release the black one it will not have been a fair comparison in terms of sales.

Regardless though, what is taking so long to release this basic color. Idk why it wasn't there for launch ... It makes me furious because I've been waiting for this phone since april and then found out about the black one soon after and am still waiting ......

What is taking so long? Black is not that exclusive of a color, only every other carrier has that color along with that ****** looking silver...
Purely my hate for Verizon. I have no real information. I'm just saying that if Verizon does bring out the black color they're going to bring it out at the most inconvenient time for their customers and that will be right after they settled for the silver one and are unable to return it.

I'm with you...I only want the black one. Silver is not an option, so I sit and wait.

I really don't get why Verizon after waiting all this time doesn't have every color of the One.

Im also waiting for black- that said. iv ordered dbrand skins(black)for the front speaker grills in case I get the itch and just buy the darn silver. since im putting it in a case it will appear black-. although silver is beautiful it's not for me. black case-black phone. every day gets harder to wait.

Yeah I hear ya. I have been close to pulling to trigger on getting the silver one too but I never use a case with any phone I get. I thought about painting it black lol...

I mean how long can it take just to get the phone in black..idk why verizon is being so slow..

I love the silver housing. It's a nice change over every other smart phone that isn't iSpeshul being black.

Fair enough but its not fair that verizon has to be this late in releasing phones and the basic colors as you said in that most phones are black why isn't this phone just out in black as an option for verizon customers

I sell cell phones in a retail store (not a carrier store). We have AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. No one wants Silver. We've never sold a silver One for AT&T or Sprint; everyone buys black. We've sold one silver for Verizon since it's the only color and the person who bought it said they would rather the black but need a new phone right now. Other Verizon customers have told me they want to wait for the black. It does seem to us like Verizon is losing sales (and 2 yr. re-commitments) by not having the black. Although, I have heard that there are supply constraints with the black one so maybe that's why it isn't on VZW yet. I don't see why one color should be more constrained unless it's purely do to the fact that everyone wants black so they're selling fast!! Definitely true at our store!

Another concern is the non-aluminum parts of the One. On the silver version, the sides are white. That white part feels a little rough, like the back of the HTC One X for AT&T did. Let me tell you, the white One X we had out on display got completely filthy over time and cleaning it didn't completely get it back to the bright white it started out as. That's a big fear with the silver One. The sides on the silver One look like they'll pick up dirt just as easily as the back of the One X. On the black, the sides are also black so it wouldn't show dirt. Just another reason to prefer black.

Man I feel the same way. Why, after all this time, wouldn't verizon release a popular color as black...smh. I'm a fan of HTC (currently using a Incred II) so I like the One but I want it in BLACK. My DINC II is on it's last legs after 2+ years. Today, I purchase a new battery for my DINC II so I won't have to purchase the Silver One. Now after spending $32 for a freaking battery, I will just wait a few more months to upgrade even if the BLACK version of the ONE comes out soon.

I see I am not alone in this debacle! I have been wanting this phone ever since HTC announced it back in February! I sat back and watched the other three major carriers announce and start selling this phone. Five to six months later verizon finally starts selling the phone. There were no press events no nothing! I read about it coming to verizon through means of other forums through out the web. I was over joyed when I read it was finally coming. After all this time of waiting its finally here. Then bang silver is the only color they offer! I couldn't believe this was happening and still cant!! Every phone I have ever owned has been black. Black is a staple color for all phones. It always has been! I have always been a huge fan of HTC's phones. In fact thats all I have ever owned in smartphones is HTC. I feel sorry for HTC! This phone could have been much bigger if all four major carriers carried it from launch in at least two colors! Black and silver! To this day I dont understand why Verizon dropped the ball on this phone? Arguably this is the best phone on the planet right now! Why wouldn't verizon want to have as many colors as possible to sell? They knew it was doing very very well watching for five to six months long all the other three major carriers sell the hell out of them! The only thing that makes sense is possibly two things to me. One all they really care or cared about was or is there droid line or two they were never going to carry this phone at all?! Maybe they were going to do a droid dna 2 and then saw how well this one was selling and decided to start carrying it. I dont know for sure no one does but what I do know is I want this phone bad and I want it to be in BLACK! Has anyone heard anything anything at all regarding weather or not this is or will ever happen?

No, nobody on this site knows if Verizon will ever carry the black ONE.

The link you provided leads to nothing. It says The specified address does not contain a page or blog post at this time. I did read that there were black htc ones spotted at one point in time by someone around launch time for verizon but still nothing! I think I read that on gottabemobiles website as well. All this talk, leaks, rumours of a blue color you would think we would see something about a black one by now as well? I am still waiting this out atleast for a few more months then will decide from there. I am still using the Rezound! Verizon if you read this please give us a BLACK HTC ONE!!!

I'd just like to say to everyone that I caved and got the silver.

I couldn't wait any longer using this blackberry bold 8650 that I have.

I realized that even though I really wanted the black one.... it is just a color after all and I felt like I would have been waiting a hell of a long time if ever to get this black one from verizon because it doesn't seem like its happening in the near future but if it does with the next 2 weeks I'll return my silver one for it and get the black one otherwise i guess not unless verizon is willing to make a deal or something extraordinary.

It's cool man...lol I almost gave in this weekend too. But I manage to fix my HTC Incred II by pulling the charging port out of another one. So I guess I can hold on until Christmas...smh. Let us know how the phone operates. Read a few bad reviews about it dropping calls and having issues with getting on Facebook while it's in 3G/4G mode. However, I still plan on getting it when it comes out in BLACK!

Its absolutely incredible man in fact I havent even thought about the color at all since I've gotten it.

Everything from the camera which is impeccable (loads very fast when you click on the app), to the processing speed (everything loads fast)

But the call quality is phenomenal. Hands down the best phone I have ever owned. And I have owned a blackberry bold 8650, droid razr and a bunch of flip phones.

Battery life is great for phone calls. I was on the phone with this girl for like 2 hours and when I started the phone conversation it had 100% and after the phone call it was only down to 81%. I was extremely impressed. Also I had a job interview that I had to use google maps for (free app btw, turn by turn, but I'm sure we all know that) and I had to travel a total of 30 mils and the phone was at 100% and when I reached my destination it was only down to 84% battery life.

It's a great choice the 1080p display is remarkable some say its better than the gs4 even though they're both 1080p..

Either the feel of the htc one feels more solid than the gs4 and does not feel as cheaply made of a phone.

Definitely worth getting. If you're willing to wait for black, do it! I just had enough hahaha, i wanted this phone so badly.

The speakers are phenomenal as well, although I thought theyd be a little louder. The quality is great but they are just as loud as any other phone it seems as if.. although I could be wrong.

I found an all black version of the Dbl Dip hard case. it was fairly cheap so If its good enough quality when I get it I may go ahead and get the silver. this case to me does the best of covering the phone. so the silver would be minimally noticable.

Real or not it is a picture of a blue version for Verizon Wireless. I don't recall ever seeing an image of the black version with Verizon Wireless branding.

Be careful man..I heard that this phone doesn't have an fm radio!! Yah, a phone with more processing powers than a 10 year old laptop and a faster connection than most dsl companies can't play FM radio!!!! Sure, almost every major radio program has an app or pod cast, but I'm too lazy to go that route

Thanks for the heads up with the Double Dip black/gray case.

Amazon has it also.

Only thing is, to get a whole black case you have to order the gray/black/gray and the black/red/black to mix and match all the black together. Since it comes in three pieces that snap together you can make a completely black phone but only by mixing and matching two cases together.

If Verizon doesn't get the HTC one in black soon, my 4 lines and I are switching to Sprint where we can get unlimited internet for all of us and we can get phones as they come out. Whatever the excuse as why they don't have it in black might have been understandable if they communicate clearly with their customers but obviously they don't communicate even when their employees. Not asking them to do anything unreasonable but he honest and transparent. Is this HTC one coming out I'm black or not?

I actually quite like the Blue one they now offer exclusively at Best Buy, but 1) I'd never betray my local independent Verizon store owner who has been great to me over the years and 2) after the issues i've had with my One and Verizon's customer service I'll likely be leaving Verizon anyway.

Wait, you'd never betray your local store owner by purchasing a phone from someone else... except Sprint, AT&T or maybe T-Mobile?
