Thunderbolt 4G sim card

I recently saw the unboxing video of the thunderbolt on youtube. It states the Thunderbolt has a slot for a sim card for 4g lte network. Will Verizon ship the Sim card with the phone, will it be shipped at a later date, or do we have to purchase it seperately for 4G access? Anybody hear anything on this. Can't find info anywhere?

Customers will receive the 4G SIM card with the purchase of their first 4G compatible device.  Since the Thunderbolt is the first 4G phone released by Verizon, customers will receive a SIM card with the phone.  Moving forward, you will be able to transition that 4G SIM card into your future 4G compatible devices.

Verizon will tell us when they introduce the phone. Until then, there is no need to know.

I have a Thunderbolt now, but no SIM card.    Is the SIM card from a Verizon 4G modem usable in my new Thunderbolt?   I have called Verizon tech support twice, given them all my info/numbers, etc, and visited their retail store.  I get wildly conflicting information and sit here with a cold Thunderbolt as a result.  Any help would be much appreciated.

not sure what the process would be since the phone isn't officially available and they haven't made their lte plans known.  And worthless without pics. :smileyhappy:

I am fairly certain that as there are no 4g data plans released that the phone won't be able to work yet. Also... pics or it didn't happen.

modcit, why don't you try it? It should work, the voice portion should be only 0.40/minute since there's no voice plan provisioned on that SIM as the data-sticks SIM only has a data plan provisioned on it which will transfer seamlessly to any VZW 4G device. :smileywink:

Don't see how to post a picture here, but I do have a Thunderbolt and pictures of it.

Still no idea how to activate it since Vzn won't/can't help me.

The phone will come with a 4g sim card, the card itself will program over the air when you turn on the device

modcit, Just reply to this post, and click on the little icon above that looks like a tree.  This will allow you to "insert/edit an image"

Pretty simple really.

Question..... how did you get a Thunderbolt?

Sorry, I have no such icon.  My icons shown are "Insert a Spolier Tage", "Insert Code" and "Paste from Word" -- no tree, no "Insert/Edit Image"

And still no activation.    Such a beautiful device --- this is driving me crazy!!

Dont mean to break you guys hearts but if your waiting on the thunderbolt you may have to waite a little longer as HTC is having issues with the battery its only lasting 3 to 4 Hours with sim in it.  thats what turns on the 4G radio on an in there test  the battery is only Lasting 3 to 4 hours as i said.  an on top of that they've pulled the Adds on youtube an probably elswear because of this issue an other things that could be wrong with it I suppose. So pute your breaks on an go a cry on moma's sholder :smileysad: it's gonna be a while unless they can pull something out of there Shorts.: Meaning a Salution to the Problem. :smileytongue:

I have no "Insert Image Button" either! Where should it be?

My Editor Toolbar has the following buttons (from left to right):

BOLD

ITALIC

UNDERLINE

STRIKETHROUGH

INSERT A SPOILER TAG

INSERT CODE

PASTE FROM WORD

INSERT EMOTICON

INSERT/EDIT LINK

ORDERED LIST

UNORDERED LIST

FONT FAMILY

FONT SIZE

SELECT TEXT COLOR

and that's it

@dirkbonn

I believe a user has to have a Bronze Contributor ranking before they can add images to posts.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
