In the last week or so my thunderbolt is crazy slow going to anything google. The google voice search takes 45 seconds to connect and just opening google search page takes that long as well. Google voice - forget it.. Any other website - it rocks still.
I think it is an IPv6 issue. My theory is Verizon's DNS is sending back IPv6 addresses for google that don't work on the thunderbolt and then after a time it defaults back to a IPv4 address and goes through.
I called Verizon and spoke with a couple of reps (very nice btw) who had me update, pull battery etc to no avail (although with the update I now have to PAY for the tethering - I think they should at leaset call it a DOWNDATE... errr...) People who
{edit for TOS violation}
thier thunderbolts can manually set their phones to ONLY use IPv4 and have aovided the issue.. I won't do that - but come on!!!
I found plenty of folks in other forumns that have had this issue - anyone here????

Try another browser, I am using Opera Mobile without any issues with web pages loading..
Another thing a number of users think bypassing the systems security settings to install none certified apps is the answer to all issues, this can cause more issue than you know if you are not knowledgeable. This has been thrown around a lot lately but understand that you are risking damaging your device that the insurance does not cover, which mean out of pocket you will have to go...

Thanks for the suggestion - I will give Opera a try. The only is that with Android google is so ingrained in everythe phone does that an issue with getting to goole diminishes a lot of features besides web browsing. Voice search, Google Voice, Gmail, youtube.. The list goes on...

I have been having the same issues, and so is my wife who also has a Tunderbolt. I just got my third referb (not becuase of the internest issue but some other issues the phone had) Now all my previous issues are good but whenever i try and use google to search for anything it simply takes WAY to long. Im talking 3 or 4 mins to load up a search results page. And if i click on a result from google its slow as all get out. But if i go to the page i searched for by entering the address in the browser itself its fast at it is usually.
This all started happening about 3 days ago. I have already cleared some cache (even though i really hadnt used much since this refurb is 3 days old) battery pulled, downloaded and tried several browsers and still nothing. Im thinking since my wife is having the same issue that it might be something with my area but i heard that a few others around in the forums having my EXACT problem in different states. (im in dallas TX).
Could this be an issue with the new update that happened not to long ago or is verizon chokeing down the people with unlimited data, possibly forcing them to look into thier tiered plans maybe? i dunno but i wish this phone would stop being so troublesome. my LG voyager is starting to look goo again.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Hello everyone!
Thanks to all the community member for the support!
I have seen just a few other cases of this and I'm researching further on what could be causing this and what info we can find in common with the devices. I will report back as soon as I get more preliminary information.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Have a great day!
