Hearing a lot of disturbing news. Verizon is DELAYING delivery of the T-BOLT until the 24th because they want the 14 day period to run out on the iPhone4 so that buyers cannot return them if suffering buyers remorse.
Say it ain't so!!!
Lot's of people waiting for the T-Bolt and you are seriously delaying delivery so you can stick people with phones they don't like...I mean I think it's funny for all the people who went nutso with the iP4, but c'mon...penalize those who want the T0bolt?

Sorry then people are not very bright... Why hold onto a device if they don't like them? Seems asinine to me.

If I was Verizon I would do the same thing, and I hope you would to. It will cost them millions of people caught onto that. Guess who ends up paying for that cost? They sure as heck don't. Remember they are in business to make money, not to keep ALL of the cellular customers in thne world happy at all times.
I am ususlly the 1st one to run out and grab something that's new. This time something kept telling me that I should wait. I waited a week I think, heck I might see what comes out within 30 days. I thought it wa 30 days to return a phone, not 14?

The return policy was changed from 30 days to 14 days on 01/16/2011.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Amen to Jim!
That's what you guys have to keep remembering in the back of your head when you read or see these types of changes. They have to walk a fine line between implementing changes and not ticking off the subscriber too much. This country is driven by the all mighty dollar, and this is a large part of the demise of this country. If we can't have what we want, when we want it, then all hell breaks loose.

I somewhat agree, because most people who have opted for an iPhone are not usually Android candidates. They like the seamless operation of the Apple OS and it ease of use. They don't want the hassle that comes with the customization possibilities of Android. I mean this in no way to be derogitory to fans of the iPhone. My wife and daughter have iPhones and love them. Wouldn't switch if you paid them. We just switched them from AT&T to my Verizon account on Monday.
Actually if I had to guess, it was Apples idea not to have any smartphones released to close to the iPhone release.

I agree as well. I like Android and is fun to play around with, but sometimes... It's like bleh wish I had a feature phone... I am leaning on getting a 4 for myself... My D2 is alright, but looking at the i4 that my wife has, and the bars she gets compared to me...

you obviously don't know Verizon very well. Do you really think it's a coincidence that Verizon made all these policy changes around the iPhone 4 launch? And you'd be surprised at the number of people who would exchange just because it's new.

Pretty sure within 5 days of it in my hands, I will know if it will work or not. I think 14 is great, but opens the door during situations like these.
Im just glad I didn't HAVE to HAVE an iPhone...and waited for the better technology

I love how so many people think they know better than Verizon how to run one of this countries largest corporations. Corporations exist to make a profit for their shareholders. They need to do what is in their best interest to maximize profits over the long term. They employ teams of highly educated, experienced sales and marketing people to figure out how to roll out their new products and how to structure their plans and programs. I think they know better how to do this to their long term benefit than some dude here on these message boards who gets aggravated because he can't get everything he wants, when he wants it, at the price he wants to pay.
And it was one of these "teams of highly educated, experienced sales and marketing people" that passed on the iPhone 4 years ago.
Trust me, as someone who works for a major, multi-billion dollar company - 90%+ of the people in decision making positions aren't any more qualified to do it than you or I. Most of the middle management in my company I wouldn't trust to run the fryer at a fast food reataurant. (And don't get the idea that I think I could do any better. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying they don't do any better, either)

Just got an e-mail from BestBuy.com. They say "my pre-ordered T-Bolt will be available for pick-up, Sat. 02/26/2011."
Been researching...heard that Skype will be pre-loaded on the phone, but not yet available to customer's when released!!!
Anyone else know of this "rumor".
Also...been rumored...the 8-hotspots will not be available either...hmm...
Just putting it out there....
This weeks BestBuy ad has the T-bolt advertised...

A New issue with the Thunderbolt will probably keep it from coming out for a while. HTC is having a issue with the Battery its only lasting from 3 to 4 Hours whille using the 4G Radio an they have'nt came up with a Solution to fix this as of Yet this is a great looking phone too. but if the issues are'nt solved it dont look to good for Her. Here's a link you can go to find more info on the Thunderbolt. And Hopefully they can get the battery issue Resolved.!
