Is the SIM card alone available from Verizon? I would like a separate SIM card with my number so I can use it on my wife's Thunderbolt

I don't know how SIM cards work on Verizon, but I would think that you can't do that, if you leave your phone active. As an AT&T customer, I cannot have two active SIM cards with the same phone number at one time. I don't know if it would be different with one SIM card phone and one non-SIM card phone.

The only way what you're suggesting would work is if you ONLY had your phone number attached to this sim card, and you traded it with your wife, leaving one of you phone-less at any given time, or if you each had thunderbolts (or any other 4g phone, when they come out) and wanted to trade handsets.
You can't just have a SIM card for a phone number that's also attached to a CDMA phone.
