Thunderbolt - recent update to ICS caused Google Talk problems

After the update, I started seeing chat notifications from Talk. I use google chat on my computer but do not want on phone.

So I went to Apps->Talk and disabled it.

Today I see another chat notification but now cannot even find the Talk app. What the heck is going on?

thanks,

c

Hi barneytoe!

Let's get rid of these notifications for Google Talk. Please uninstall the application altogether. The steps are as follows:
Menu
Settings
Applications
Manage Applications
All
Google Talk
Uninstall

Let me know how this works for you once the application is deleted. Thanks,

You can't uninstall Google Talk. A person can perhaps disable it and then re-enable it. Also your steps are for the Gingerbread version of the phone. The ICS steps are different.

To the OP, check at the very bottom of the App list under the All Tab. All the disabled applications will be there. Select it and enable the Google Talk app.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
