I kind of doubt it, unfortunately. HTC's sense is a heavy layover UI and the TBolt seems to be fading off their priority list rather quickly. But, only time will tell.

I agree with demmo86rt,, I have seen the SDK run on the Nexus and wasnt very smooth so unless they refine the codes the resources of the TB may not cut it for a ICS upgrade..
Thats just a opinion, who knows what could happen but at this time I believe it wont get the upgrade,

While I do agree to a point... HTC went on record to say they are making Sense "leaner and meaner". If they can pull that off then there is possibly a better shot for the TB to get ICS.

Though I have to say... The incredible was one of their best sellers, and the Thunderbolt wasn't though. So it's hard to say I still see more Incredibles than I do see Thunderbolts... I actually see more charges here than I see Thunderbolts.

i NEVER see incredibles (except mine)? which i find odd because i thought it was a fantastic device. who knows? the tbolt may not get it, considering that it will be next spring/summer before verizon pushes any ICS updates anyhow. but the incredibale had an end of life back in march (i think?) and got GB 5-6 months after EOL.

You know these days the devices popularity really doesn't matter because so many simply want the latest device, as soon as a new device comes out they have to have it.. Its kind of like OS upgrades, users want the latest upgrade and most of them due not know what the OS even changes for the user but they just want to say they got the update.

HTC did say they were going to try to update as many as possible but it's a waiting game at this point. That Galaxy Nexus is mighty tempting. Stock 4.0, no bloat or 3rd party skin to ruin everything. mmmmm.... do not need do not need do not need

lol I already gave in. Buying it outright as soon as I can. I do love my D3 for what it does, and haven't had any real problems with it. Just felt like playing around with LTE and the ones already out didn't catch my eye.

I guess it varies by location. When I travel to the states, or in Hawaii I see tons of Incredibles, and Droid X's more than I see the newer devices. I assume some are under contract, but a lot should already be out of contract or upgrade eligible.
I assumed it was a good seller compared to the Thunderbolt from what I have seen in 4 states aside my own. So it doesn't bother me seeing it get the udpate as it is a very popuplar device. I seen often enough if something doesn't sell well they'll "support" it maybe major 1 update and that's it. Motorola Cliq, Cliq Xt and a few other devices come to mind from various manufacturers.

i'm sure there's a bunch of incredibles out there. when they do get older or closer to their EOL, the firesales usually promote them too. tbolt is still $200, but i bet it will drop in price by christmas, and will likely be free next spring.
