When will I get the 4.3 update for my HTC one device?

Thanks for checking for the update. Updates can take up to 3-4 weeks to push, but should be available to pull 10 days after the update. Can you please verify what baseband and software version you currently have? The current version is 2.10.605.1; Baseband: 1.12.41.1112_2. If that is not the version you have, please clear your system cache and check for the update again.

• Boot into recovery

• Press and hold Power, Choose "Restart" option

• When screen turns off, press and hold Volume Down and Power

• When the white HBOOT screen appears, use the volume button to move down to “RECOVERY.”

• Press the Power button to select “RECOVERY.”

• When the triangle and exclamation appears, hold the Volume Up and Power button at the same time.

• Using the volume button, scroll down to “Wipe cache partition” and select it.

• Select "Reboot system now"

If no change, please let us know.

Couple of questions.

Have you modified the OS software in any way?

Is there an active line and SIM card associated with the phone?

Are you checking for the update with a 4G LTE signal?

I have not modified the OS at all.

Yes it is an active line with an active SIM card (havent changed anything since I bought it from the VZW store when they came out)

I have checked for it both with my Wifi and the 4G LTE signal (same result unfortunately)

I received notification on the 17th and didn't do it. Now when i check to do the update i get the same problem. I'm about to convert mine to a google play edition so i get the ota's from google. I hate that if you call or live chat support that thier answer is a hard reset of the phone. THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER TO PHONE ISSUES VERIZON!!!!!

just got done with tech support if you havent got the update by the end of the year they have to push a tcket so you can get it pushed SMH!

2 weeks since 4.3 rolled out.

I got a brand new HTC One on 12.16.13. I am running stock, have never changed anything on it.

Every time I "check new" under the software update, I get a No new software update available.

How can I receive this?

well I'm in the same boat two weeks later and nada. Got on the line with HTC was told that its 100,000 phones being updated a day so that puts the count at 1.4 million phones it got pushed to now. It is weird that VZW hasn't allowed manual updates for this. HINT HINT VZW

Thanks for the response. My software version and Baseband version is different from what you highlighted (1.10.605.2 and baseband is 1.12.42.0713) so I decided to follow your steps except that I am unable to go beyond selecting "RECOVERY". I dont get a triangle and exclamation...instead my phone just vibrates and shuts down.

I'm sorry to hear that you are continuing to have issues receiving the software update. Let's get you up to date. Please try a hard reset instead,http://vz.to/JChGOf. When the phone starts up again it should prompt you to update the software. If it doesn't please let us know and we can take the next step.

I didn't even get that... mine came with 4.2.2 and I have no notice of any updates let alone 4.3

the correct way is when the screen goes black after you select recovery tap volume up and the power button at the same time yet even with the correction it didnt work to get the update

I've been having the same issues you have with this phone and have tried all the suggestions in this thread and in others. I've lost count how many times and different ways I've reset my phone. I gave up trying and was on day 13 of my 14 day return window and did just that. I took my trouble HTC back to the Verizon store, on my way home from work, told them, and showed them, what was going on and they gave me a new HTC. I'm now (as of 5 mins ago) running on Android Version 4.3; Software Number 2.10.605.1. I wish you guys all the best of luck and hope you get a resolution.

Did you ever solve your problem. It is now February and the 4.4.2 update comes out today, but I have yet to be upgraded to 4.3 on my phone (still stuck on 4.2.2). I've tried every single reset method but it keeps telling me there is no new update available. Any help/suggestions would be nice.

I'm in the same boat - wiped the cache partition, then a hard reset ... then did both again ... then waited three hours and did it again ... (actually, pretty impressed at how well my apps and data restored themselves) ... but despite my anxious (and repeated) tapping, no evidence of the 4.3 update. Amazingly, the internet doesn't seem to be any help - are there only four of us in the whole of the nation who are having this problem? I dread having to go into my local Verizon store and having to deal with the well-meaning but not-terribly-knowledgeable youngster behind the counter ... surely someone has a fix for this issue?

While I'm awaiting guidance from Verizon, I talked to HTC support ... they indicate that the phone has to go to a repair center.

The updates will be pushed in phases. If you still experience difficulties after the rollout is complete, I recommend completing a hard reset again. http://vz.to/JChGOf

I currently have version 4.2.2.

Verizon deployed the 4.3 update on December 17, 2013

Obviously, it's been much longer than 4 weeks since December 17.

I've followed the instructions to pull the 4.3 update, but the device will

not update.

According to HTC support, I should already have received the Verizon update

from Android 4.2.2. to 4.3. This matches the information in the forums as

well.

What should I do to get the Android 4.3 update that was deployed in

December?

jonathan.....have you read any of these posts. they still don't have 4.3, which was pushed much longer than 3 weeks ago. i understand 4.4 was just announced, but the users in this thread haven't even received 4.3.

Never solved for me. I was told by Verizon that I had an "unapproved" build on the phone. Looks like my phone may have been a pre-release test device (I bought it off ebay). So because of this, there was nothing they could do or would do. My Advice, call someone in Verizon support and they will ask your build number etc...that should be a good starting point.

I guess I violated the TOS when I posted my chat with HTC Support. Sorry.

The gist of the chat transcript that was removed is that HTC Support recommended sending the phone to an HTC service center to be updated. She was specific that wiping the cache and doing a hard reset were the only user-level options, and that if the 4.2.2. didn't update to 4.3 after a hard reset, there was nothing else a user could do.

Earlier in this thread, ElizabethE_VZW directed Kyle2448 to have his phone replaced under warranty because the hard reset didn't work.

Thus, it seems pretty certain that some of us have defective devices that will not update unless they are professionally serviced or replaced.

Can someone from Verizon provide guidance on the matter?

Thanks for the additional information Guanjee. I agree it has been long enough for the previous update to be implemented. A hard reset is the final troubleshooting step before replacing the device if it is less than one year old. I see you have also been working with the manufacturer and they made a similar recommendation. Please let us know what the most convenient option would be.

I too am in the same boat as you. I received the notification in December that 4.3 was available, but declined to do it as I was traveling. -Now the 4.4 is available I attempted to check for updates only to receive the "No new software available" message. After talking with HTC, they suggested the standard cache clear / factory reset methods along with the following:

Disable fast boot

in the dialer dial: *#*#checkin#*#*

manually set date 1 year foward

retry manually checking for update

This did not work for me. The tech said they have a 50% success rate with the above, so I thought I would put it out there in-case it 'did' work for someone else.

Following the above not working, the tech advised either trying to get VZW to replace my handset or book an appointment for them to reflash it in Texas. I bought my phone the first week it was available outright and am out of contract, so I do not know what VZW would do on warranty. Mulling sending it to HTC for repairs...

I had a very good conversation with VZW support and received a warranty

replacement via FedEx. Updated itself instantly.

Thanks for trying those extra steps, memphis02. We want you enjoying your phone and all the updates. Keep in mind that it's possible to take up to 30 days from the software release date for the newest update to push to your device. The update just began it's release 2/6, so you may still receive it in the next few weeks. Since the HTC One released less than one year ago, you should still be under the manufacturer's warranty as long as there's been no damage or unauthorized software altercations. Did you buy the device at retail from Verizon Wireless or a 3rd party? Is there any damage?
