Why do verizon Phones only sshow very Basic caller ID  city and number

 

ATT phones show true caller id persons name and phone #

There is a number of Apps on the market that adds this feature but I think they charge a monthly fee to use.

Targus is the company that regulates Verizon's caller ID.
