You would want to select the Mobile Hotspot application on your 4G device, then follow on-screen instructions.
Have a great day!

Where did you hear this? Are you also saying the MR2 update won't be pushed until July 7th?

The software update is going to remove the free hotspot on July 6th not the 7th but close enough. Im actually very surprised you were right. Now it makes me wonder if the GB update is coming sooner than we had expected. My only concern is why Verizon hasn't announced it at all?!
Gina, can you put everything in one post???? You are just overloading the thread. You have an hour to edit a post.
Gina, given their demonstrated history of misinformation and ignorance, I would say that you probably shouldn't believe them, yeah.
HOT SPOT is indeed free. I don't have the announcement but have read the official Verizon announcement. HOWEVER, what does it mean to have something free when that something doesn't work... I give you FREE access to my Porsche but it doesn't drive?
I think it is being given away due to the issues going on. For me, the hotspot is flawless, EXCEPT my laptop will state I do not have a connection, when in fact I do.

You should state that it doesn't work for YOU. Mine works awesome. A lot of my friends use my connection and they are just amazed. So in my situation, I am enjoying the awesome ride on the Porsche!

you have an app in your app drawaer called "mobile hotspot." open it and you set it up (much like a router). then, up to 8 devices can feed off of your phone's data connection (again, just like a router). i've never used it so i'm not familiar, but i suspect you choose a name for your network and security setting (WEP pin or passwrod or something). then wireless devices can find your phone's network and sign in and use it like a router or wireless modem. free until july 7.

What happens after the 7th if we try to use it? Do we get a warning or something saying we must accept the hotspot data plan? Or does it just automatically enroll us and charge us $20?
I just got back from my Verizon store and while there I asked about what the charge for the hotspot was going to be after the July 7. I was told that the free hotspot had now been extended to September. As we all know, each Verizon rep seems to have a different story, but that's what I was told today.
