Depending on what you have on the SD card it might take a few hours for the system to re-index the files for the new system.
Not all applications are designed or updated to work with Android 4.0+.
My Thunderbolt was updated over a week ago and I have only had minor issues. I did experience at first SD card of not being able to read it. A few hours later it was fine.

My apologies that you are having issues with your recent software update. I understand how important it is to have a properly functioning device. After the update, have you completed a hard reset on your device? Often times this will eliminate the problems. HTC has published a common faqs section to assist with correcting any of the issues the update may have caused. To view this link, please visit http://bit.ly/15sGq23
Once a hard reset is completed, please keep us posted if you are still having issues, thanks!
