so i have had my thunderbolt for about 9 months. how long does the manufacturers warranty last and what exactly does it cover? will i end up paying the 100 bucks for a new phone either way? The phone doesnt respond to my touch anymore. i cant answer the phone, i can't unlock the screen. nothing. but it is receiving all emails, calls, texts, FB tweets, etc. I just cant see it! what should i do? screen isnt cracked or broken. i take good care of the phone.

I would do a master reset first. You can pretty much figure out how without 'seeing' the screen. In addition, I would transfer as much as you can to a PC first.
If that does not work, go to VZW they will have a refurbished TB sent to you. Warranty is 12 months.
if you go to HTC they will offer to fix it, but you lose the phone for a few weeks.

Thanks for your reply, budone.
Those are good questions, jordanasoliel. Your device is covered by the manufacturer's warranty for 12 months. The warranty covers any manufacturer's defects or malfunctions on your phone. It does not covere physical or any water or moisture damage. If a warranty replacement is needed it will be issued at no additional cost.
If you haven't already, please remove and reinsert the battery and retest. If the screen is still unresponsive I do recommend to perform a hard reset, as budone had suggested http://goo.gl/SuccD Please note that a hard reset will remove all data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. If you're able to, make sure to back up your information prior to the hard reset.
