For the longest time I couldn't find how much hotspot I still had available. I finally figured it out. This thread is for those wondering how to find out how much hotspot you have left.
I use an android phone. It may not be the same for iphones.
On your phone, go to "settings". Then click on "mobile hot spot & tethering". Then click on "mobile hotspot". Once that is open, click on "mobile data shared today". After that is open, there with be 4 vertical lines in the top right corner, click on that. You then should be in the "hotspot usage report". On the top of the page there will be 2 options, either daily or monthly. If you click on monthly, it will show you how much you have used per month.

This is nearly useless. "Monthly" usage as shown on your device has nothing to do with ACTUAL usage as reported/recorded/limited by Verizon, and has nothing to do with your billing cycle. So the number you see there will NEVER line up with actual usage by Verizon at any given time, and is only semi-useful only if you're willing to reset/interpolate that data with your actual billing cycle. Verizon needs to do better.
