The Verizon mifi 8800 keeps rebooting over and over and over again all throughout the day and night. We work from home so this is unacceptable. We have to use our phone Hotspots sometimes and now, my spouse wants to switch to Xfinity. The mifi forms itself off whenever or wants and then back on and works fine. But, sometimes, it even just keeps cycling through the setup screens for hours and doesn't even get to a point where it can be used. I've done the troubleshooting and I've read the chats and blogs and reddit threads. Nothing helps. I pray Verizon for a service that only works 20%. I see this has been an issue for 10 years now! I need a new box or this one fixed ASAP or my Partner is moving us to Comcast!

With that hotspot being a 4G LTE device, it's possible that it's not able to pick up 4G spectrum from your local Verizon towers anymore. I've noticed for over a year now in my neighborhood that my phone constantly shows a 5G symbol, even when the phone is in actuality using 4G LTE. If there is now a trend to have 4G spectrum running through 5G equipment, that could very well be causing a problem with your hotspot if it only wants to detect 4G cell sites running 4G spectrum.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Have you checked the Jetpack Admin Page "About" page for the Logs (if enabled) and the firmware version? Tap the 'Help' on the display screen then 'Jetpack Admin Website' which describes the steps to take. With a device connected to the jetpack, use either http://my.jetpack or 192.168.1.1 in the browser's URL bar. In 2020, there was a firmware update that supposedly addressed the jetpack being reset and Wi-Fi disconnecting issue. If it's on the latest firmware, I would suggest providing the logs to support as an attachment in MyVerizon Service Central or reach out to Inseego.

We're sorry to read about the issue with the Hotspot device and we want to help. Have you tried a factory reset on the device? Does it show any error message before it restarts? ~Peter
