In addition to separate sms tones for each individual contact, how about blocked calls and texts native without the limited 3rd party apps. Hangouts blocks texts, but only if you use it as default SMS app. Other Play apps can block texts but not calls. Only one app blocked calls, but it didn't block texts. I like how the G2 is supposed to be one of the first 2 phones (S5) to use HD Voice and have native (to VZW model anyway) video capabilities. Hangouts was OK, but not everyone used it and since there aren't many cross platform video chat services this is a good start. Maybe one day there can be a way to video call without having to be on the same app or service much like how you can call someone anywhere on any phone. I know the update is long long way far off in time, but seems that some features should be discussed way ahead of time.

Hangouts remain the only way to reach out to all contacts on all carriers on Android via text, wifi calling and video chat. Verizon did implement video calling and hd voice, but in only certain phones, and as a whole, at this time, is not a reliable service leaving most to disable the feature.
