After the update push from LG, my keyboard stopped allowing use of f and c.

Then  weird numbers kept showing up when I manually dialed. Went to Verizon store, who could not fix. GET THIS. Rep said that 1 out of 100 phones have a problem with an update. WOW. I had insurance on the phone, so he overnighted me a new phone. No more issues, it's been 6 days.

I have replaced my G2 3 times for failed OS OTAs.  I now use Google Keyboard instead of the stock because of similar issues.  Glad your issue was resolved though.
