Cannot Receive Calls on Wifi

I have a brand new G2, only had it about 1-2 weeks and I am not receiving calls while on wifi. I've tried calling my phone from the landline, it rings four times and goes to voicemail but the G2 doesn't make a sound. I can receive/send texts and make phone calls, just not get them. I've tried restarting my phone and checked my wifi settings, but I don't see any options that would cause the issues I am having. My boyfriend has the exact same phone and has no problems on our home wifi or any other wifi network. Any suggestions?

I should add that it does not show a missed call at all in my call log when on Wifi. If a voicemail is left my phone will alert me to that, but it won't show who called or when. I've has no problems on the 4g network.

Let's see what's causing the problem! Are you able to make calls while connected via wi-fi? When did the problem begin? Have you ever been able to receive calls while connected via wi-fi? I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Was there a response on this? I am having the same issue with my phone. At home on wi-fi, my phone doesn't ring, doesn't notify me, doesn't show in my call log, but I get a notification that I have a voice mail. I have only had the phone about two weeks and get calls just find when I am not on the wifi. I receive texts and emails, but no incoming calls.

I am sad to hear that you are having these problems with receiving calls. We are eager to fix this. Is this only happening on wifi? Is it in one specific wifi location? Have you deleted and readded the network? Keep us posted.

It happens when I am at home, since that is only place I connect to my wifi. It's intermittent. Some calls come in, and others don't. I notice that calls are showing as missed if I have a text message on my phone waiting to be read. I have not noticed it when on I am on the network. My phone doesn't even show that I had an incoming call. Just the VM icon appears.

I have had this same issue. It has gotten worse as of late. I live in area code 42240. I miss calls from people with verizon service as well as other services. The phone will never ring but I will get a voice mail alert. I feel it got worse after the Kit Kat update. I am unsure if it has ever happened when wifi is turned off. It happens a lot when around my house. I have actually called myself with my wife's phone standing next to my phone and it wont ring. Very frustrating.

We definitely want to make sure you have service where you need us! There are some areas of opportunity near you. Have you been able to remove your SIM card and test your calls again? http://vz.to/1jvWv0c Also, if you try calling #832 do you hear any error message? I do recommend during off WiFi at home and testing with a calling to #832 as well. Keep us posted!

I have taken the SIM card out a couple of time but it has not helped. I

had another call last night not come through. I tried the #832 and it

worked. This is very frustrating as I don't want to miss an important

call.

My wife and I are having the same problem. We both have LG G2's. We reported the problem to Verizon about a month ago and were told it was a problem with our sim cards so we were sent new sim cards. That has not helped the problem.

We are in Knoxville TN 37922 / 37934

Callers report that our phone will ring on their end 4 times then go to voice mail. We get neither a ring, missed call notification, nor voicemail notification.

This is a CRITICAL issue for me as I am a medical provider and my phone is my primary means of communication for my job. This does not happen with our son or daughters verizon iPhones. This did not happen with my Razr Maxx.

I have tried hard resets on both phones and it has not made a difference.

Please help me fix this issue.

Have vzw reset you on the network. They can do so remotely. Same thing happened to me. Calls went to VM and no missed call notification. I had 3 bars. Vzw has no wifi-calling. Sim and reset did not help me. After network reset I seem to be OK. My other half has a g2 as well....so does my friend and mother. We all seem OK now.
