I absolutely hate my phone!!!

I upgraded from my Blackberry to the LG Revolution one year ago this October and have had nothing but problems...overheated battery, don't receive a full text message, battery dies in 2-3 hours with little to no use, applications continue to sync even though I have don't sync turned on...I have been given a new battery and a charger...didn't help...when I take it into a store they just smile at me and tell me to take the battery out and put it back in....this doesn't work either...I should not have to be charging my phone 2-3 times a day...this is not convenient and defeats the purpose of a cell phone.

I am not eligible for an upgrade until 6/2013....what can I do????

So very frustrated!!!

No idea, I am in a similar spot... daily slowdowns, having to restart once or twice a day, starts vibrating for about a minute then restarts on its own... I bought an extra battery and a charge dock for it because of the battery life issues.  I can get about 8 hours on a full charge without using wireless or bluetooth or downloading any apps or watching video... but that kinda defeats the purpose of having a smartphone in the first place...

Hi community,

I can imagine the frustration with the trouble with the device itself. I know the LG Revolution was one of the first 4G devices launched and many people purchased it at that time. The phone has an expected battery life of 7 hours with usage throughout the day. An 8-9 hour battery life is normal without constant usage. We recommended the extended battery to many customers as it provides double the life of battery. Have either of you purchased a longer lasting battery?

Meejean mentioned having received a replacement battery and charger but was the phone itself ever replaced under warranty? I ask this as it's not normal for the phone to be syncing if the sync is turned off. This needs to be reviewed as it can cause other difficulties on the phone. Make sure that you are going to Settings -> Accounts & sync -> Background data & Auto-sync both need to be turned off. You can also go to Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile Networks -> System select -> Network mode and switch to CDMA only to reduce the search of 4G LTE coverage. Let me know if this information helps.

Thank you,

Besides the battery going down with normal use most of the problems have been fixed on my revolution. I also bought one from October 2011.  The only major issue that I have is Facebook wont work with Wifi unless you turn on Airplane mode and cancel out the cell signal. I spoke with technical support and the guy said that this issue had been forwarded to LG to try and fix. They are working on another update with no set date for release.

The extended battery doe not help. >Comment deleted< Verizon Wireless should have a little more concern with customer service, they just don't care the only thing they want is money money money, example buy an extended battery it would help to fix the phone. I have lost respect for the brand and the employees of both Verizon and LG, not another penny of my money will be spent with them and i am trying to warn others about these companies and the lack of customer service.

MariaC,

Battery life aside, the phone itself IS a piece of crap - and Verizon knows it! I have had every issue that Mary Jane and Durindal have had.I spoke to Customer Dis-service and was left completely unsatisfied. I have had my phone and batteries replaced TWICE! That's three phones all with the same issues. I was offered a fourth replacment garbage phone with the same garbage phone! I wanted a different phone and even suggested I just pay the difference between the aggravating device and a different device but was told I'd have to pay the full non-service plan price if I wanted a different phone! BTW, under warranty should mean you get a NEW replacement phone. All the phones I received were refurbs!

I don't know what incenses me more - customer support's passing the buck to another rep or the constant parroting of their standard party line of "have you tried this" when the customer is on a THIRD phone or the companies blatant denial that they just screwed up with a poorly designed phone!

I now carry an itouch with wi-fi and no service plan and intend to change out all the phones on my plan to dumb phones when my contract is up.

turn off the data connection when you arent using your phone.. everyone can get 12+ hours on their smartphones

you can always purchase a phone from someone, someone out there will buy your phone so the costs should be close to offsetting

Insurance? Extended warranty? If not then you might have to wait another 5 months
