got a lg g2 a couple weeks ago and it keeps power cycling. Did a factory reset to try and fix the problem and that hasn't helped. i Have just the factory apps installed. any ideas why this could be happening? it happens even with no apps running.

I am running into this exact problem. It happens most consistently when I simply swipe to open the phone. I also took it to the Verizon store and they did a factory reset on it. It worked ok for 2 days then started doing it again. They called it a hot boot but did not have any answers...
Verizon!!! Is this a bug and will there be a fix or is these phones faulty??

I know how important it is to gain reliability from your device KathySteamboat! Something doesn't sound right with the amazingly advanced and reliable G2! I know I have enjoyed flawless performance from mine! When did this start? Do you know if this was a complete factory reset? http://tiny.cc/k24f6w You mentioned a hot boot. If it was completely reset, did you readd the same apps? Does the phone power completely down every time you swipe to open it? Do you manually power cycle the device daily?

Hey there curt3033,
Congrats on the LG G2! Now lets get it up and running with no issues. Did the phone power cycle when you perform a specific task or access a specific app? How long after the hard reset did the issue reoccur? Is the battery fully charged?
Please provide additional details so that I can better assist.

It started happening a day or so after the reset. I'm on Wi-Fi most of the
time it loses the connection, reconnects then restarts most of the time
when I notice it. It has happened while running chrome or other apps but it
also will cycle while just sitting there inactive.

curt3033,
Thank you for that information. We definitely want to find what is causing this overall. Can you try to run your phone in safe mode for about 3-4 hours or however long it usually takes for a power cycle to happen. These are the steps http://vz.to/180bNn8. If it does not happen while in safe mode that may give us a better indication on what route to take next. Please keep us updated.
Thank you,

Hi Jonathan!
I did end up doing a factory reset 2 days ago.. So far it hasn't done a
reboot. I cross my figures every time I swipe to open it but so far so
good.
I didn't have a bunch of apps on it but there could have been a troublesome
one downloaded. '
Why don't I give it some time to see if it starts rebooting again. If it
does, I'll email you back.
Thanks so mcu for your help!!
Regards,
Kathy

Tony, restarted in safe mode. And it cycled 4-5 hrs later. Then continued
to cycle for about the next hr or so.

Hi Curt3033
That's a very odd problem. Since the issue persists after a hard reset and in Safe mode. I believe we will have to look into replacement options. Please accept my follow request. Then follow me and private message me with your mobile number and account password.
Thank you,
