LG G2 Lock Screen Settings

I can't seem to find settings to change the lock screen swipe animation or change the application shortcuts on the lock screen. Does anyone know if those options were moved or removed from the verizon version of this phone?

Setting a Screen Lock for the First Time

1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps Key > Settings > Lock

screen.

2. Tap Select screen lock.

3. Tap None, Swipe, Face Unlock, Pattern, PIN, or Password.

Select Swipe.

"

Swipe includes: Select screen lock, Screen swipe effect, Weather

animation, Wallpaper, Shortcuts, Owner info., Security lock timer, and

Power button instantly locks."

Hey, thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, while there are settings for the lock screen at the location you suggested there isn't the settings for swipe animation or shortcuts as seen in the video. The only options I have are "Select screen lock" "Random PIN" "Wallpaper" "Owner info" "Security lock timer" and "Power button instantly locks"

Missing, but visible in the video, are "Screen swipe effect" "Weather animation" and "Shortcuts"

Thanks, it says right there on page 177 that there should be a setting for Swipe animation and shortcuts. I still can't find them, maybe I should try a factory reset?

I guess you are using the password lock:

Password includes: Select screen lock, Wallpaper, Owner info.,

Security lock timer, and Power button instantly locks.

Changing the items on the default Lock Screen

1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps Key > Settings > Lock

screen.

2. Tap Shortcuts.

3. Tap one of the icons at the bottom of the screen, then tap the application

you want to replace it with.

4. Tap Save to save these settings.

NOTE You can access Shortcuts when the lock screen is set to Swipe.

Are you able to make these changes on your phone? I looked for the Shortcuts settings, but couldn't find them.  When I navigate to the Lock Screen settings this is what I see:

Thanks for looking into this for me!

I had it set to require a PIN, but on a delay of 5 minutes.  I still saw the swipe screen quite often, but couldn't get to the settings for it.  After changing the unlock method to swipe I can now change those settings.  Thanks!

You are welcome!

By the way, Can you find the proper usb drivers for your g2? It seems i can not install the usb drivers. Can not detect the device. Please tell me which usb driver you are using for your device!

Hey,

Sorry, I'd love to be able to help you... but I'm currently on a chrome book and wouldn't even know where to start looking for that. It does seem to work fine when I connect though.
