Muffled sound

Hi! I've had this phone for about a month and almost every call sounds very muffled and quiet. I have my volume turned all the way up and I can still barely hear or understand the person talking. I have also had people tell me that mine sounds the same way sometimes. Is this just a faulty phone? Or the case for all of the LG G2s?

My zip code is 43701 and it occurs in both indoors and outdoors.

My software version VS98012B and I've tried removing the sim card. Still same. I know sometimes my husband can't understand me either, we have the same phone.

Thanks for the additional details! How long have you had this device? Does your Husband's phone sound the same? Has there been any liquid or physical damage to this device? Try placing the device in Safe to see if the muffled sound still occurs http://vz.to/1dvvW8e .
