My email acct. won't sync in real-time

My email acct. will not sync in real-time.  For example:  this morning I go to my email account and I have 23 new messages.  An hours later I check from my computer and there are many more messages but they will never appear on my phone, but perhaps once a day.  When I check my email on my phone I press on the update and it spins around, but it doens't update anything.  Any suggestions?

Hello suekansas,

 

I know email is an important form of communication.  I would like to assist you.  What type of email are we referring to (ex. Yahoo, AOL...etc)?  If the sync schedule is set and the manual sync is not working I would suggest removing  and re-adding the email account.  You can remove the account by navigating to the My Accounts icon>select and hold the email account you are referring to>select remove account & ok.  Once the account is removed choose add account and add the email log in credentials and test.  Please let me know if this helps.  Thank you.

Only push emails and gMail will recieve messages in real time, all others you have to set the time specs that you want the email to retrieve the new rmails..

I have "fetch" time set at 15 minutes.  Is there something else I can do?
