Uber App Setup- Confirmation Text message

I am trying to set up the Uber app, but I can't send the confirmation text message. I have heard that it is something to do with the firewall, but I am not entirely sure what the problem is. Any suggestions?

There is no firewall. You might have a premium messaging block, but there is no firewall unless you installed one 3rd party.

I Don't trust Uber, so I disabled the app.

i Also have a couple more apps I got in the update that I don't want. Grrrrr.

Me too I am unable to use Uber on LG G2 ! I can receive premium texts from Redbox, Amazon delivery alerts, Microsoft confirmation, etc. This is bullshit in Uber!

And Verizon can't work with Uber normally!
