The reason you cannot press "connect" is because most likely the password or network key is too short. Depending on what type security
WEP, WPA, and WPA2 you put on the connection will decide how many characters were in the key or password.

Can you go to settings-> WiFi->menu->WPS Push Button? Try that and press the WPS button on the router, then the phone. Should connect.

Phone says "WPS failed. Please try again in a few minutes." Will try again in a few minutes. (sigh) I am surprised to be having this trouble.

WPS is strange like Bluetooth when it comes to connecting. You may have to do one before the other. I usually have success with the router button then the phone button. Usually you don't have to be on top of the router, just near it. If you can go to your routers settings online you can set a PIN and try that, but then it starts getting complicated.

Bluetooth is done without a problem. Should I uninstall it, do WPS, and then reinstall Bluetooth?

Success Snn5! To connect I had to put in my WEP Key and not my password. Thanks for your suggestions.

OK, got it, the network key not password. Makes sense.

We're having the same problem. So where do we find the "network key?" We keep putting in the password but get a message saying its wrong.

You might try to pull up your router via a web browser on a PC. What router do you have? You can reset the router there and re set up so that you are fresh. I can explain further when I know more about your router.

I spoke with a Verizon chat rep. She suggested that since my password is only 7 characters long, then that could be the problem. My tech guy was here just earlier today and reset the password. He did it using my laptop but I'm not sure how. We have a Netgear router. My husband just text me and said he now has wifi at work. That password was 14 characters long. So, maybe if I could figure out what my tech guy did, I could change the password to something longer.

When you get home try this address if your PC has a connection to the router. http://routerlogin.net/index.htm or 192.168.1.1 in the browser address bar. It may ask for a password. I believe if you have never set it before then it is admin/admin. If nothing else...you can use the reset button on the router in the rear and go back to factory state.

The router info page at the above addresses and links should give you the password on the main Home page right after router page login.

I did try that earlier but its not allowing me to log in. I know the password that my tech guy set earlier but its not accepting it. I'm going to try to get ahold of the tech center and see if they can walk me through it. I'll let you know how it goes! Thanks for all your help so far!

The tech center helped us! My husband is now connected to wifi. It was a password issue as it does need to be 8 or more characters. I thank you very much for all of your suggestions!

I used Bluetooth as an example of quirky connections, but BT has nothing to do with this situation. Perhaps reboot the router and then the phone. Try WPS again. If you are still unable to get WPS to work, or even if you cannot press the button to connect to the router/wifi like you tried to at first, VZW may need to send a replacement phone.

We had this issue today LunaM930. Hoping by now you've figured it out but wanted to tell you what we learned today. The password has to be at least 8 characters long. That was the only issue. We had to get into our wifi account (called the tech center to help us do that) and then added characters to our password. It worked!
