Just got a new car (Subaru Forester 2015). My Bluetooth on my LG G2 won't pair with the stereo in the car. The phone is on Bluetooth mode and allows other devices to search, I have the pass key from the car's radio....memory is cleared out of the Bluetooth slot in the car (apparently can only be paired with one device at a time...?).
The salesman said the problem was with my phone, that his phone connected just fine. I'm frustrated by this first world problem. Any suggestions?

Did you allow the phone to be discoverable? You are connecting the car to the phone, not the phone to the car. Think of the car as a headset. Either way, make sure both are discoverable. I can never remember which to do what with so I set both devices to pair.

I know that the first time i try to pair something with my phone, I start the search on the phone, then turn on the accessory.
